Systemic Failure

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

If, as Obama has stated, the attempted bombing was a systemic failure, who is responsible for the system? If Bush’s policies were to blame, why were these not changed by those who promised us change? The federal government’s highest duty is protect the American people. Where is the sign that graced Harry Truman’s desk; “the Buck Stops Here”? That buck must have suffered the same kind of inflation inflicted upon everyone’s bucks. It’s hardly worth a dime. Concerning security, if racial profiling is good enough for government sponsored affirmative action programs why is it not good enough to protect our nation and its citizens from terrorists?

I’m Feeling Fined, Thank You

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Soon, if we have chosen not to purchase health insurance, for whatever reason, we will be fined. Will they soon be fining the homeless for not having homes? The hungry for not having any food? The unemployed for not having a job? Those who voted for Democrats for not having any brains? If they can force you to buy something you cannot afford or do not wish to purchase, what’s next?

Hollowwood

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

I am coming late to the table on this but I rarely watch a movie until it is released on DVD. As is to be expected, Hollywood completely missed the mark, again. The story of Julia is not about “hot manicotti” and Joe McCarthy. The real story of Julia Child is the courage she displayed by deciding to pursue a whole new career at the age of 55, when most people are contemplating retirement. But, as usual, the people who, for decades, bombarded us with booze and cigarettes used this occasion to profane yet another icon by treating the audience to unnecessary sexual references and political nonsense (“a Republican would have fired you”) and providing us with micro-metrosexual spouses as role models for the coming generation of males. In their effort to perfect political correctness Hollowwood continues to corrupt the language and desecrate the culture in their pitiful pursuit of profit. If it weren’t for their inherent dishonesty, they would almost make good capitalists.

Harry Reid

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Harry Reid is the worst thing to happen to the LDS Church since Missouri Governor Lilburn Boggs issued the 1838 order to expel or exterminate all Mormons in his state. Reid’s hypocrisy is the great cancer in the so-called health care debate, not to mention the other unconstitutional outrages he promotes. The US Constitution is sacred to real Mormons. A man who does not act in accordance with what he claims as his core principles serves the wrong master and deserves no place among those who properly serve and who rightly observe the correct principles. It is to be hoped that 2010 will see him turned upon and turned out by more than just the people of Nevada.

Lessons Learned

Friday, December 18th, 2009

The world leaders attending the Climate Summit have obviously been paying attention to the health care debacle in our own country and have taken instruction from it. They have learned that if they walk out or throw a fit, Obama will cave and offer them some kind of carrot, as if $100,000,000,000 per year was not enough. This is madness but none should be surprised. Everyone was warned before the election but between the illegal activities of Acorn, SEIU and the stupidity of a large swath of America’s white population, we now have the government they deserve.

Copenhagen

Friday, December 18th, 2009

The weather at the Climate Summit spotlights a few things which should by now be obvious; God controls the weather and he has a marvelous sense of humor. It should also be pointed out that the Copenhagen hookers are morally head and shoulders above the the summit attendees who are there to screw the world for money but will never actually admit it. The hookers, as it turns out, are far more honest than their political counterparts. Pelosi could take a few lessons.

The Real Problem with Global Warming

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

“The problem, when people cease to believe in God, is not that they believe nothing, it is that they will believe anything.”
-H.L. Mencken

That warm and sticky feeling is not from our industry, it is from our iniquity.

Warm Milk Anyone?

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Between Harvey Milk Day and the unveiling of the future map of a flooded San Francisco (caused, of course, by global warming), Governor Schwartzenegger has squandered what precious little credibility he had with the conservatives of his state. Everyone knows that God has promised not to flood San Francisco. He will, instead, burn it to a crisp or He’ll owe the city of Sodom a huge apology!

I once lauded Arnold for being his own person, for not being swayed by lobbyists or ideologues but for keeping his own counsel. I now fear he has suffered the fate of most Supreme Court justices who lose what sense of reality that they once possessed by allowing themselves to be courted and seduced on the DC cocktail circuit.

Hopefully the next Republican governor of California will be able to resist sleeping with a Democrat.

Growing Up Obama

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Obama has already tipped his hand. He has already lost the war by setting a timetable for withdrawal. All the enemy has to do now is wait and inflict as many casualties as they can in the meantime, making our next 19 months as painful as possible. The lesson of Obama is this; never send a boy to do a man’s job.

Disgrace at a Sacred Place

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Leftist politicians are not bound by principle, as they have none, but Obama’s cynical photo op and his abusive use of the Cadets at the US Military Academy at West Point as a backdrop for his sophomoronic address to the nation, go well beyond anything that most would expect from baser human beings.
